RESEARCH REPORT ON SEX AND LABOR TRAFFICKING NETWORK AND PATTERN IN CAMBODIA
ABSTRACT
Low education and food insecurity are significant vulnerability factors for trafficking; also, victims typically experience multiple triggers (illness, debt, natural disaster, family splits). Vulnerable groups, returned migrants and survivors share a lack of knowledge of the breadth of trafficking (affects all ages and genders) and an attitude of denial about its risks. Effective messages must address these issues and encourage vulnerable persons to seek independent advice and reliable sources of information about potential jobs.
