In partnership with CAST Cambodia and ASA/WISHH, Rapid Asia conducted the Cambodia Food for Progress Project Midterm Evaluation 2021. This evaluation provides a comprehensive assessment of the Commercialization of Aquaculture for Sustainable Trade (CAST) initiative, highlighting key improvements in management practices, production capacity, and infrastructure within Cambodia’s freshwater aquaculture sector. It also addresses challenges, including the impact of COVID-19 on local sales and prices. Based on our findings, we offer strategic recommendations to strengthen communication, enhance supply chain development, and foster market growth, ensuring long-term sustainability and competitiveness in Cambodia’s aquaculture industry.
