Rapid Asia attends the ARREST Partners Meeing on Wildlife Trade in Beijing

Pianist Ren Siyin, Daniel Lindgren (Founder of Rapid Asia), popular singer Xiao Wei and Grace Gabriel (Asia Regional Director for IFAW). Rapid Asia came to Beijing to attend the ARREST Partners Meeting on wildlife trade, hosted by the Freeland Foundation and IFAW. The meeting was held to discuss future collaboration and intervention efforts to curb the escalating trade in wildlife products, particularly in China. Rapid Asia helps to evaluate the impact of various communication initiatives both in main stream media and social media. Whilst trading involving endangered species is forbidden in China, a key challenge is to educate and engage the growing, hedonistic middle class population. Ivory in particular has become a lucrative trade for investment purposes.
