Stakeholder Workshop on Human Trafficking in Russia

Rapid Asia in Russia

Russia is both a source and destination country for human trafficking and trafficking also takes place within Russia itself. Documentaries in combination with social media initiatives have proven to be effective tools for engaging and educating young people about the risks of human trafficking. Attitudes have been found to play an important role as they determine the extent to which people in the target audience will be receptive to what is being communicated. For this reason Rapid Asia is going to conduct a nationwide study that in part will look at attitudes towards trafficking and trafficking victims.

The results will feed into a major television campaign both in terms of communication strategy and execution.
