Rapid Asia is proud to have contributed to a new World Bank report, developed in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), which examines the experiences of migrant workers from Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Myanmar in Thailand.
In 2024, Rapid Aisa surveyed 1,700 migrant workers, capturing first-hand insights into their working conditions, recruitment experiences, wages, remittances, and reintegration challenges. The findings form the backbone of the report’s analysis and provide critical evidence to inform policies on labor mobility, social protection, and inclusive economic development.
By placing migrant voices at the center, Rapid Asia’s contribution ensured that the realities of workers’ journeys were meaningfully reflected in this important study.
