In early 2025, Rapid Universal conducted an impact evaluation for Agir pour le Cambodge’s (APLC) Sala Baï Hotel School, one of Cambodia’s most recognized initiatives transforming the lives of disadvantaged youth. Sala Baï has offered free vocational training in hospitality, opening pathways for young people from rural and low-income families to secure meaningful employment and improve their families’ economic future.
This evaluation explores the long-term experiences of graduates who completed their training over five years ago, examining their employment stability, economic progression, career development, gender role perceptions, and contributions to household wellbeing. The insights gained will support APLC in strengthening the program’s design and maximizing future impact, ensuring the school continues to change lives and deliver value to donors and partners.
